After I had worked for an IT strategy consultancy for ten years, mainly in the field of energy, I decided to move to TAH, since it was a new company with strong growth that focused on the energy industry. It also provided me with the opportunity to broaden and deepen my specialist know how.
My new colleagues made it very easy for me to become integrated, so I quickly felt comfortable at TAH.
Our clients face very diverse challenges that are reflected in the diverse nature of our projects. They cover the entire value chain in the energy industry, including exploration, grids, trading and sales, and their contents are very varied and exciting. To develop adequate, sustainable solutions, we need solid expertise and good analytical skills, as well as creativity. The TAH team can fulfil those requirements due to the mix of experienced colleagues from the industry, strategic consultants and young colleagues with a background in the energy sciences.
During my free time, I enjoy meeting friends and naturally do sports to compensate the “brainwork” I undertake for my job. Although I am often on the road as a consultant, I also enjoy travelling during my free time to discover foreign countries and cultures.
After several years in the energy consulting division of a large consulting company, I decided to change to TAH in the beginning of 2016. Since then, two particular strengths of TAH have convinced me: entrepreneurship and excellence.
TAH has a strong can-do attitude. TAH initiates and executes new projects, ideas, topics, prototypes and partnerships in an uncomplicated and energetic manner. Entrepreneurship is truly a core value of TAH, which several spin-offs also prove. Entrepreneurship at TAH also means trust. Shortly after I started, I was able to develop new topics in the firm, take responsibility for projects, write and defend proposals on my own. TAH trusts its employees, which allows them to act independently and with an entrepreneurial spirit.
In addition, excellence of work is a core value of TAH. Statements and analysis in project results and proposals are precise, adapted to customer needs and enriched with deep experience. Each project corresponds to customer expectations and often exceeds them. Numerous trainings - which employees can party decide on themselves – allow all employees to develop the required competencies. For instance, I was able to undertake a strategic management training to enrich a strategy project I was working on with theoretical insights.
Outside of project work at TAH I am - amongst other things - a passionate musician, dutiful sportsman, apprentice cook, voracious reader, swinging dancer and curious traveler.
After four years in a small consultancy, I decided to move to The Advisory House in 2011 and I did not regret it: exciting projects at the cutting edge in an industry in upheaval, dedicated colleagues at all levels and a very high quality claim to the work delivered.
Flat hierarchies enable employees of all career levels to contribute ideas and implement them together. The focus is always on top notch specific work for and with the respective customer in the energy industry - repetition of standard approaches is not our game. For me, the team spirit at The Advisoryhouse stands out in particular, whether it is within various team events or the mutual support to reach ambitious goals.
In my spare time I like to spend time with my family, climb a mountain or just spend some time outdoors.
